Avaya PCN 1651 IP Office TelephonesAvaya has received a small number of issues with telephones going on and off hook. They have conducted a thorough investigation of the problem and are establishing measures to resolve the issues and minimize customer impact. The investigation has identified that only a very small percentage of the telephones will be affected, typically after 9-15 months of intensive use. The advanced replacement may take more than two weeks depending on availability of refurbished stock. Customers will be invoiced a penalty charge as specified on the IP Office PCN1651 advance replacement request form under the following circumstances:
This advance replacement is only for phones that have the described problems. If the returned phones are problem-free or exhibit a different issue, we will reserve the right to charge a handling fee of 50 USD per phone. Also, if the phones have another issue and are out of standard warranty we will not automatically repair the phones but will offer to repair them at the normal rate. Warranty cover remains the same as for the original unit. Shipment of an advanced replacement is FOC. The business partner/distributor is responsible for the cost of shipping the original unit to the repair centre. The original unit should be returned to the address below. Return under repair processThe IP Office telephone should be returned to the address below. It should be sent with a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number. There is an 8 working day turnaround on all upgrade units. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping to the repair centre. Return shipping is FOC.
